THE JUNGLE BOOK

The Jungle book is many things at once.  A remake of the 1967 Disney family classic, it manages to be both original in its expression of an oft-retold tale, an engrossing film on its own, and a technological marvel.  With the environment and almost the entire cast created digitally, The Jungle Book is a huge achievement for VFX and features extensive use of SpeedTree Cinema to bring the jungle to life.

Filmed entirely on blue screen sets, Neel Sethi plays young Mowgli as the only non-digital character in a cast of heavy hitters. Bill Murray, Idris Elba, Scarlett Johansson, Ben Kingsley and more make up the phenomenal cast of animal voices. Directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man, Chef)  The Jungle Book is an astounding feat of technology and cinema. We’re proud that SpeedTree was involved in crafting this vision. Stay tuned for more news on SpeedTree and The Jungle Book!
