Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is the second Assassins Creed title to use SpeedTree for Games taking the critically acclaimed combination of conspiracy, parkour, and swords and continuing the fight for freedom on the streets of London. Building on the Assassin’s Creed legacy of recreating architecturally accurate and stunning historical locations, Ubisoft Quebec has brought to life an incredible recreation of a world in the midst of an industrial revolution.

Criss-crossing the dirty underworld and pristine upper class of the period, the game takes you from railyards and factories to vibrant city parks.  Far from portraying London in the desaturated hues that are often used to convey a sense of history, Syndicate’s London feels alive with parks and gardens full of beautiful trees and flowers that serve as a foil to the seedy underbelly of the industrial revolution.

In the past few years, SpeedTree has become a familiar sight to gamers, appearing on the splash screen of some of the biggest cutting-edge AAA title as well as some of the most innovative indie games.  Ubisoft first used SpeedTree for Games for Far Cry 4,  and has since used our modeling tools in a string of blockbuster titles, including Assasins Creed Unity, and the upcoming Tom Clancy’s The Division.  This is a testament not just to the power of our SpeedTree Modeler but to the ever increasing scope of games being produced.  Games are not just bigger than ever, but richer in detail as well.  We look forward to continuing to provide the tools needed to bring amazing games like the Assassins Creed and Far Cry series to life both as fans of the technology and the games themselves.
